Insurance and Coverage Details
The vehicle is covered by insurance with compensation up to the following amount.
However, damages exceeding the compensation limit, accidents falling under the disclaimer in the insurance
policy, accidents that violate the rental agreement, and damages for which a police accident report cannot
be obtained will be the
customer's responsibility.
- Bodily Injury
- Unlimited per person (including compulsory automobile liability insurance).
- Property Damage
- Per Accident Unlimited (with a deductible of 100,000 yen).
- Vehicle
- Per Accident Up to the market value (with a deductible of 200,000 yen; however, for buses and large trucks, the deductible is 200,000 yen).
- Personal Injury
- Up to 30 million yen per person.
In the event of an accident, part of the property damage deductible and the vehicle deductible that would
normally be the customer’s responsibility will be waived. If multiple accidents occur,
this exemption
will apply only to the first accident.
Note:In the case of a single-vehicle accident (including hit-and-run accidents or accidents where the other party cannot be identified), the vehicle deductible will not be covered under the insurance.
n addition to the deductible waiver, the payment for the non-operation charge (compensation for the downtime of the vehicle) that would normally be the customer’s responsibility in the event of an accident will be waived.
Note:The coverage applies only in the case of an accident. It does not cover theft, breakdowns, damage, dirt, damage to interior equipment, or burn marks on seats, which are not the responsibility of the company.
Note:In the case of a single-vehicle accident or an accident resulting in the total loss of the vehicle, the coverage will not apply.
Note:In the case of self-inflicted accidents or accidents resulting in the vehicle being deemed a total loss, a two-month non-operation charge will be requested.
In the event of an accident, theft, malfunction, damage, soiling, interior equipment damage, or cigarette burns on the vehicle during the rental period that is not caused by our responsibility, and if the vehicle requires repairs or cleaning, this is the non-operation charge (NOC) you will be required to pay.
The compensation amount is fixed as follows, regardless of the extent of the damage or the time required for repairs.
Note:In the case of self-inflicted accidents or accidents resulting in the vehicle being deemed a total loss, a two-month non-operation charge will be requested.
In addition to the Collision Damage Waiver Plus, the payment of the vehicle’s deductible is waived in the case of a self-inflicted accident. If multiple accidents occur, this will apply only to the first incident.
Note:In the case of intentional or malicious accidents, or if you fail to report the incident to the police or the accident reception center, the compensation will not apply.
Note:The "Anshin MAX" coverage may not be available at all locations.
In the event of an accident or breakdown that makes the vehicle inoperable or requires it to be written
off, insurance coverage will not apply.
Note:Due to the location being on a remote island, the minimum
